Coronavirus (COVID-19)

At Atlas Estate Agents, the health and wellbeing of our clients, employees and stakeholders is of utmost importance to us. With this in mind, we have created this page to keep you updated on how we are adapting our business during these challenging times.

Office

  • Our office is currently closed however our employees are working from home, please contact us as normal. We can still facilitate access to the office if absolutely necessary (e.g. key collections, etc), please click here for our contact details
  • All employees and visitors are being asked to wash their hands with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds when they enter or leave our office

Social Interaction

  • We are no longer shaking hands or performing any other form of close proximity greeting. No offence! :)
  • We have implemented social distancing and are keeping a distance of 2 metres (3 steps) from others
  • If you have coronavirus symptoms then please notify us immediately and follow the latest Government guidance

Appointments

Valuations
  • Valuations are currently continuing as normal but we will not physically visit your property. We encourage you to send us pictures/videos of your property and we will provide a desktop valuation and follow it up with a physical visit as soon as possible.
Viewings
  • Viewings conducted by our agency are currently suspended indefinitely and will resume as soon as possible. We have filmed the majority of our available properties so that we can offer you a virtual tour, please see the individual property listings for more information. Viewings conducted by the landlord/vendor of a property are currently being assessed on a case by case basis.
Mortgage Valuations & Surveys
  • The vast majority of mortgage valuations and surveys are currently suspended, we are facilitating access for surveyors on behalf of our buyers wherever possible.
Property Inspections
  • Routine property inspections are currently suspended indefinitely and will resume as soon as possible.
Development Inspections
  • Routine development inspections are currently continuing as normal as we need to ensure critical safety systems continue to be tested.
Development Cleaning
  • Routine cleaning of the blocks/developments that we manage is currently continuing as normal.
Tenant Move-ins
  • Tenant move-ins are currently continuing as normal.
Tenant Checkouts
  • Tenant checkouts are currently continuing as normal but we will not visit a property until 72 hours after the tenant has vacated.
Works/Maintenance & Certificate Renewals
  • Contractor visits for works/maintenance are currently continuing as normal. Some non-urgent works/maintenance may be postponed.

Offers

  • We are still accepting offers on properties that we have for sale and are not insisting that you view the property.

Letting Applications

  • We are still accepting application on properties that we have to let and are not insisting that you view the property.

For Sale/To Let Boards

  • Our board erectors are currently unable to work so some boards may show incorrect statuses.

Rent (Residential Tenants)

If you are unable to pay your rent;

  • Email our accounts department (accounts@atlasestateagents.co.uk) with as information as possible
  • Please pay as much rent as you can, something is better than nothing as your arrears will continue to build
  • Landlords can apply for a mortgage holiday but this doesn't mean they don't have to pay the mortgage. It means the mortgage payments are deferred and still have to be paid at a later date
  • You could qualify for benefits or statutory sick pay if you lose your job or can't work because you're sick or self isolating. You could also get benefits if your pay goes down because of the coronavirus outbreak

Rent (Commercial Tenants)

If you are unable to pay your rent;
